After having been in the music business for many years, schlepping records,
booking artists, and promoting concerts, it was time for a career change.
Should I stay in the music business, should I go back to the ski and tennis
business, or should I try something new? If I was going to try something new,
what was it, what am I worth, what will I do, and all of the other questions
I did not even know? So I decided to make chocolate mousse while I pondered
the questions and answers. Why? Because I made the best chocolate mousse I
had ever tasted. And, while in the music biz, I traveled a lot and if we ever
came across mousse on a menu, we ordered it, had a bite and pushed it away,
quite confident that mine at home was better.
Fifteen years later we still
make a whole lot of chocolate mousse, and it is still the best I have ever
tasted, but we make a whole lot more like, five different carrot cakes, and
about twenty-five different mousse tortes, and my Mother’s recipe for Mexican
Wedding Cakes, and the list goes on and on. The one thread that stitches this
all together is that each and every item we make is the very best of that
item that I have ever tasted.
Humbly, I think we make some pretty good stuff!
